Blue Bombers Make Their Move
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have made a move to bolster their offense and special teams, re-signing American receiver/returner Janarion Grant to a one-year contract on Friday.
A Proven Playmaker
Grant, 29, is a three-time CFL All-Star and has been one of the most dynamic returners in the league since entering the league in 2018. In 82 career games, he has returned 247 punts for 2,679 yards and eight touchdowns, while also adding 117 kickoff returns for 2,751 yards.
Grant spent the past two seasons with the Bombers after beginning his CFL career with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He had a strong season in Winnipeg in 2022, returning 63 punts for 682 yards and two touchdowns, while also adding 29 kickoff returns for 591 yards.
"Janarion is a special player who can change the game with his return ability," said Bombers general manager Kyle Walters. "He's a proven playmaker and we're excited to have him back in Winnipeg."
