Sankt Pauli's Response to Visiting Team's Song
In a controversial turn of events, Sankt Pauli's Gästeblock (visiting team's section) responded to the visiting team's guest song with an angry rendition of "Scheiß St. Pauli" (literally, "Shitty St. Pauli").
The song, traditionally played at visiting stadiums to mock the home team, targets St. Pauli's recent decision to restrict the use of portable toilets at away games.
In a provocative countermove, St. Pauli announced that for each portable toilet left undamaged, the company responsible for the facilities, Otto Dörner, would pay a fee. This announcement was met with criticism from some fans, who felt it was a disrespectful gesture towards the visiting team's tradition.
Instead of playing the visiting team's song, as is customary in their stadium, St. Pauli blared a recording of the song "Dixi-Klo Rache" (literally, "Portable Toilet Revenge") over the loudspeakers.
The incident highlights the ongoing tension between football traditions and the need for responsible behavior in sporting events.
