Verbrenner-Aus ab 2035 endgültig beschlossen
Die Europäische Union hat das Verbrenner-Aus für Neuwagen ab 2035 endgültig beschlossen. Eine Ausnahme gilt für Fahrzeuge, die mit synthetischen Kraftstoffen (E-Fuels) betrieben werden. Für vor 2035 erworbene Fahrzeuge mit Verbrennungsmotor soll Bestandschutz gelten.
Plug-in-Hybride können in der Übergangsphase eine Rolle spielen
Auch leistungsfähige Plug-in-Hybride, die sowohl mit Strom als auch mit Kraftstoff betrieben werden können, könnten nach Ansicht der EU in der Übergangsphase eine Rolle spielen. Ab 2035 dürfen innerhalb der EU neu zugelassene Pkw keine klimaschädlichen Abgase mehr emittieren. Auf diese Einigung hatten sich die EU-Staaten und das EU-Parlament Ende Oktober geeinigt.
